Wise multi-currency account
Get USD/EUR/GBP receiving details so international clients pay you cheaply — and understand how Wise activity reports onto your Form 5472.
What Wise solves
Stripe is great for card payments. But card fees are 2.9% + 30¢ per transaction. If a German client wants to pay you €5,000 by SEPA bank transfer instead of credit card, Stripe doesn't directly help — but Wise does.
A Wise Business account gets you:
- Receiving details in 10+ currencies — USD (ACH + wire), EUR (SEPA), GBP (Faster Payments), AUD, CAD, HUF, etc. Your clients pay you like a local bank account in their country.
- Near-mid-market FX rates— 0.4–0.6% above mid-market, vs ~3% at most US banks and ~5% at Stripe's FX margin.
- Business debit card — spend in any currency you hold without conversion fees.
- API access — programmatic payouts if you run a marketplace or pay contractors.
Eligibility
Wise Business is available in most countries. Owner's country of residence matters more than LLC's state — Wise checks where YOU live. Excluded countries (as of 2026): Iran, North Korea, Syria, Cuba, and a few others on OFAC lists. If you're in mainland China, you can sign up but FX in/out of CNY has restrictions.
