Does holding US property through an LLC protect me from estate tax?
I keep reading that a US LLC gives liability protection. If I move my US real estate into a single-member LLC, or into a multi-member LLC with a partner, does that take it out of the US estate-tax net? And is there a structure that actually does fix the situs problem?
