Self-Service Software — You Are the Filer

ForeignLLCTax.com is self-service software. It generates IRS-formatted PDFs from data you input. It also publishes articles, calculators, guides, and an AI question-and-answer assistant focused on U.S. tax compliance for foreign-owned LLCs.

You — not ForeignLLCTax.com — are the preparer, signer, and filer of any return you generate using the Site. We do not sign, submit, fax, mail, transmit, or otherwise deliver any IRS form on your behalf. We do not represent you before the IRS, respond to IRS notices, or act as your authorized agent.

Not Tax or Legal Advice

All information on this site — including articles, guides, calculators, Q&A content, generated forms, and AI assistant responses — is for general educational and informational purposes only. It does not constitute tax advice, legal advice, accounting advice, or professional consulting of any kind. Using the Site does not create a CPA-client, attorney-client, enrolled-agent-client, or tax-preparer-client relationship.

While we strive to keep all content accurate and up to date, tax laws and IRS rules change frequently. You should not rely solely on information from this website to make tax filing decisions.

Consult a Qualified Professional

Every tax situation is unique. We strongly recommend consulting a qualified tax professional (CPA, Enrolled Agent, or tax attorney) for advice specific to your circumstances — especially if your situation involves complex ownership structures, multiple entities, treaty benefits, or ECI determinations.

IRS Registered Tax Professional

The founder of ForeignLLCTax.com is an IRS-registered tax professional. Credentials can be verified through the IRS Return Preparer Office Directory. However, using this website does not create a tax preparer-client relationship.

Accuracy of Information

All form-filling tools on this site reference official IRS forms and instructions. We source our forms directly from IRS.gov. However, we make no guarantee that all information is current or error-free. IRS forms and instructions are updated periodically, and there may be a delay between IRS updates and our tools reflecting those changes.

No Guarantee of Outcomes

Using our tools does not guarantee acceptance of your filing by the IRS, avoidance of penalties, abatement of past penalties, refunds, or any particular tax outcome. We do not insure, indemnify, or otherwise cover IRS penalties, interest, or late-filing fees. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of information you enter, your decision to file, your method of submission, and the timely filing of your returns by the applicable IRS deadlines.

Before You File — Pre-Mailing Checklist

The guided wizard covers the most common Form 5472 + pro-forma 1120 filing for a foreign-owned single-member U.S. LLC. If your situation is different — multi-member, S-corp election, mid-year termination, multiple related parties, treaty positions, or anything else unusual — this package may be incomplete and you should consult a CPA before mailing.

Your downloaded PDF is fully editable.Every form field is interactive. Open it in Adobe Acrobat, Apple Preview, Foxit, your browser's PDF viewer, or any PDF reader — click into any field to type, change, or add information. Use this to handle anything the wizard didn't ask about: extra related parties, treaty statements, supporting notes, your name on the signature line, or any data unique to your situation.

Before you mail or fax, do these manually:

  • Sign Form 1120 on the “Signature of Officer” line (page 1, lower portion) and date it. The IRS does not accept unsigned returns.
  • If you provided a typed name in the wizard but no signature image, hand-sign the printed page in ink before mailing or faxing.
  • Attach any supporting documents the wizard did not generate: prior-year reconciliations, treaty position statements, Form 8833, capital-account schedules, etc.
  • Verify all amounts and counterparty names against your source records. Typos in the wizard become typos on the IRS form.
  • If you have additional related parties beyond the one captured here, file a separate Form 5472 for each.
  • Mail or fax to the Ogden, UT address per the current Form 5472 instructions. Keep a signed copy and proof of mailing for at least seven years.

How We Handle Your Data

Your filing data stays in your browser by default. Everything you type into the wizard (entity name, EIN, addresses, amounts) lives only in your browser's local storage and the JSON backup file on your computer. We do not transmit or store this data on our servers unless you explicitly opt in.

If you would like to resume editing on another device, you can enable Cloud Sync from /dashboard. Cloud Sync is OFF by default. When ON, your wizard answers are saved to your account-scoped private storage on Cloudflare so the same answers load on any browser where you're signed in. You can turn Cloud Sync OFF at any time; doing so also purges any synced copy from our storage immediately.

We keep a record of your payment so you can re-generate your filing for the tax year you paid for, with unlimited downloads and no time limit. We never store IRS-form values inside that payment record. If you lose your JSON backup and Cloud Sync is OFF, you will need to re-enter your information — we cannot recover it for you.

You Choose How to Submit

After you generate a PDF on this Site, you decide how to deliver it to the IRS. You may fax it (the IRS Form 5472 fax number for disregarded entities is currently 855-887-7737), mail it via U.S. certified mail, or use an IRS-approved private delivery service (FedEx, UPS, or DHL — see the IRS PDS list). USPS Priority Mail does not qualify under IRC §7502. Whatever method you choose, you are responsible for keeping your own proof of timely filing (fax confirmation, certified-mail receipt, or PDS tracking).
