I bought a rental property in Florida through my out-of-state LLC — does that alone require foreign qualification?
My LLC is formed in Wyoming and I just bought a single-family rental house in Florida that I rent out for income. I don't have an office or employees in Florida — the only Florida connection is this income-producing property. In a lot of states I've read that owning property 'without more' is fine. Does Florida treat my rental property the same way, or is real estate special there?
