Our broker sent a Form 1042-S for publicly traded partnership income, but I expected Form 8805. Is that normal?

I am a foreign investor and own units in a publicly traded partnership. The broker statement references effectively connected income and foreign withholding, but the document I received is Form 1042-S rather than Form 8805. That made me worry the reporting might be inconsistent or that the broker used the wrong form.

I want to know whether publicly traded partnerships run under a different reporting lane from ordinary non-PTP partnerships. If the form difference is intentional, that is fine. I just do not want to build my return around a document that looks wrong on its face.
