I'm a foreign owner of a U.S. LLC and I live in South Korea. I want to authorize my U.S.-based CPA to communicate with the IRS on my behalf, receive copies of notices, and respond to any correspondence. I've been told I need Form 2848. Can someone walk me through how this works? Specifically, can my CPA sign tax returns for me? And how long does the authorization last?
