Can foreign LLC owners use Section 1031 like-kind exchanges?
My US LLC owns commercial real estate and I am considering exchanging it for another property rather than selling outright. I have heard that Section 1031 like-kind exchanges allow you to defer capital gains taxes when swapping one investment property for another. As a foreign LLC owner, am I eligible for a 1031 exchange? What are the requirements and limitations?
