I am in India and registered a Texas LLC for a productized consulting business. Revenue is around $140,000 and all payments come from U.S. customers, but I perform the work from India. I chose Texas because people kept saying there is no state income tax.

Now my bookkeeper is asking about Texas franchise tax and a public information report. I feel like I bought the wrong state story. Are these normal filings even if I do not have Texas employees yet?
