I enrolled as an individual with Apple but formed an LLC later. Is the developer name problem just branding, or tax too?
I am in France and originally launched my iPhone app under my personal Apple developer account because I wanted to ship quickly. A few months later I formed a Delaware LLC and moved the business banking and bookkeeping there. The app is still public under my personal name because that is how I enrolled with Apple.
I understand this is awkward from a branding perspective, but I am more worried about whether it shows a deeper mismatch between the public app identity, the payout setup, and the tax records. I want to know how serious people treat this issue once real revenue is involved.
