I sell on eBay through my foreign-owned LLC — what are my U.S. tax obligations?
I'm based in Canada and I have a Florida LLC that I use for selling vintage electronics on eBay. I ship items from Canada to U.S. buyers. Some items I keep in a storage unit in Florida and ship from there.
eBay seems to handle sales tax on my behalf now, but I'm not sure if that's everything. I made about $42,000 in sales last year. eBay sent me some kind of tax form (1099-K I think?) but I have no idea what to do with it.
Do I need to file any U.S. tax returns? What about the Form 5472 I keep hearing about?
