How is Google AdSense and advertising revenue taxed for my foreign-owned LLC?
I operate content websites through my foreign-owned LLC (Delaware) and earn money primarily from Google AdSense, Mediavine, and sponsored posts. I'm from Nigeria and everything is managed from Lagos.
Google AdSense keeps asking me about tax withholding. I set up my payment profile with my LLC's EIN but I'm not sure if I did the tax info correctly. Last year I earned about $40,000 from advertising.
Is ad revenue the same as business income for tax purposes? Do I need to worry about withholding? I already file Form 5472.
