Foreign seller here, closing soon, and I've never had a US tax ID. The title company says they still have to send the FIRPTA money to the IRS, but without my number I'm worried the paperwork can't be processed and I'll lose track of the withholding. Do the forms still get filed? And how do I get the number I need so I can eventually get my money back?
