We filed Form 8832, but none of the owners attached it to their returns. Does that invalidate the election?

The entity filed the classification election itself and even received an IRS acceptance notice, so we assumed the core work was done. Only later did we notice the instructions about attaching a copy to returns. Some owners already filed and did not attach anything, which now makes the whole election feel shaky.

The practical question is whether this mistake kills the election or whether it is a separate compliance problem. I need to know whether we are dealing with invalid classification or with a filing-support defect that still needs cleanup but does not undo the election itself.
