Do any states require withholding on distributions to foreign LLC owners?
I have a multi-member LLC with both U.S. and foreign members. I'm the foreign member (from Australia). The LLC is formed in California and earns income in California and Texas. Do these states require the LLC to withhold taxes on distributions made to me as a foreign member?
I already know about federal withholding under FIRPTA and the partnership withholding rules, but I'm not clear on state-level withholding.
