Is Colorado's periodic report just a formality, or does missing it create bigger problems?
I am in Portugal and set up a Colorado LLC because the filing process was straightforward. The business is still tiny, around $18,000 in affiliate revenue, and all work happens outside the U.S. The registered agent is handling mail, but I nearly missed the Colorado periodic report because I assumed it was just a minor renewal.
Before I ignore it again next year, I want to know whether this is one of those harmless admin tasks or whether Colorado good standing actually matters for a foreign owner.
